KERR RECALLS PLAYING DAYS WITH FLETCHER

Brian Kerr has recalled playing alongside Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher.

Now, four months after being released by Dundee, he finds himself thinking about finding another line of work before he even turns 30.

Barry Smith’s side’s 2-1 win against Raith Rovers at Stark’s Park on Tuesday stretched Dundee’s unbeaten league run to 16 games and increased hopes of avoiding relegation to the Second Division.

Kerr has not fared so well.

The midfielder was one of nine players who had their contracts ended when Dundee fell into administration for the second time in seven years and he is yet to receive any payment from the club.

Kerr and Finnish forward Njazi Kuqi, who was encouraged to bring his family to Scotland a fortnight before the Dark Blues went into administration, are the only players still out of work and Kerr knows he might have to pack in the game he loves.
