Darren Fletcher, the midfielder for Manchester United and the captain of the Scottish National team, has been on an indefinite break, in an effort to recuperate from ulcerative colitis, a chronic bowel inflammation. He was expected to be out for the rest of the season, but is doing surprisingly well.
